FAQs
How would you describe your filming style?
I film weddings in a natural and unobtrusive way. I won’t constantly stage moments or pull you away from your day for long periods of time. My focus is on capturing genuine moments, real emotions and the atmosphere of your wedding as it naturally unfolds.
What’s included in your wedding films?
Every package includes a cinematic wedding film professionally edited to music and audio from your day. Depending on the package you choose, this can also include full ceremony and speeches films.
What makes you different?
I focus on creating wedding films that feel natural, emotional and cinematic without making the day feel overly staged or intrusive.
Rather than constantly directing moments, I take a more relaxed approach that allows real emotions and genuine interactions to happen naturally. This helps couples feel comfortable on camera and means the final film reflects the atmosphere of the day as it actually felt.
A big part of my editing style is storytelling and pacing, combining visuals, music and audio from the day in a way that feels immersive and emotionally driven, rather than simply documenting events in order.
I also personally edit every film myself to ensure each wedding receives the same care, consistency and attention to detail shown throughout my portfolio.
What’s the difference between the Highlight Film and the Feature Film?
The Highlight Film is a shorter, cinematic edit of your day.
The Feature Film is longer and more story-driven, allowing more breathing room for moments, vows, speeches and atmosphere throughout the day.
Both films cover the same wedding day, the Feature Film simply allows the story to unfold in more depth.
Highlight Film: typically around 3–5 minutes
Feature Film: typically around 12–15 minutes
Full ceremony and speeches edits are delivered separately where included.
How long are your films?
How long will it take to receive our films?
Delivery is typically within 10-12 weeks during peak wedding season. I always aim to deliver as soon as possible without compromising quality. There is a speedy delivery option if you can’t wait to see your film!
Do you travel for weddings?
Absolutely. I film weddings across Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and the South West, but I’m also available for weddings further across the UK and destination weddings abroad.
Do you use drone footage?
Yes, drone footage is included in every package, where possible and weather/venue restrictions allow. It’s a great way to capture your venue and surroundings cinematically.
Do you provide raw footage?
I don’t provide raw footage. My films are carefully crafted to tell the story of your wedding day in the best possible way, and the editing process is a huge part of the final experience and quality you receive.
We’re awkward in front of the camera, is that a problem?
Not at all. Most couples say this before their wedding. I keep things relaxed and natural, with very little forced posing. My approach is focused on making you feel comfortable rather than “performing” for the camera.
How do we book?
A 20% booking fee secures your wedding date, with the remaining balance due one month before the wedding.
Do you work alongside photographers?
Absolutely. I’m very used to working alongside photographers and always aim to work as a team so everything runs smoothly throughout the day.
Can we choose the music for our film?
I personally select licensed music that fits the emotion and pacing of your wedding day and editing style. This allows me to create a film that flows naturally and feels cinematic from start to finish.
Do you offer shorter coverage?
Yes, I offer shorter coverage options for smaller weddings, elopements and couples who only want key parts of the day filmed.
What if you’ve never filmed at our venue before?
That’s completely fine. I actually enjoy filming new venues and approaching them creatively with fresh eyes. I always arrive prepared and adapt to the venue, lighting and atmosphere on the day.
What happens if equipment fails on the day?
I always film with multiple cameras and backups throughout the wedding day to minimise risk and ensure key moments are covered safely.
Important parts of the day such as the ceremony and speeches are filmed using multiple camera angles, alongside separate audio recording sources for added security. I also carry backup batteries, memory cards and additional equipment with me on the day.
While equipment issues are extremely rare, having redundancies in place means I’m prepared to continue filming smoothly should a problem ever occur.
